This post is addressed to the administrator of ArchNet. I would love to send in some photographs for your consideration and display on ArchNet. General photographs featuring regularly on the lobby(as backgroung to the month name etc.). may be something like photograph of the month could be started on ArchNet, asking members to send in pictures personally taken by them. Eagerly waiting for you response.

Minu and Maria, I am very glad that you would like to contribute to ArchNet. This is indeed the spirit behind the website. One of the ways you can do this is to place images into your personal collections under "My Workspace" and make them open to ArchNet members. Can you imagine the resource we would create with +27'000 members from all over the world contributing images of both contemporary and historic buildings.

Another way we could approach this request is to create a Gallery webpage as we have recently done for the 3rd year students in Communication Design at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, Pakistan. Their instructor, Farah Mahbub sent in a CD with student photographs which are now featured in the Digital Library. [See exhibition]

Let me give this some thought and get back to you in this forum space.

Sorry to take some time to get back to this post. I have been considering holding an ArchNet photography competition. With all of the entries featured in the ArchNet Spotlight and the winner receiving a selection of books, a Spotlight page devoted to their work, and some recognition. What are your thoughts on this idea?

In the meantime, you can certainly post your personal images into your "Collections" in your "Workspace".

The programming design behind Archnet's "My Workspace" is very well done. The "Image Collections" section is aesthetically attractive and intuitive. My complements to all involved. Archnet's website is well architected (if you excuse the pun).
