Soul in architecture
Does architecture today have their life-enhancing? Or it seem like architecture today marely considered on aesthetic and doesn't have a soul of its own. People always think about profit and ignoring the ethical value of life.

There are sequences of food, clothing shelter. Economics enters at the time of any exchange. Profit is not dirty word.these are ground rules.now of soul of architecture depends on free flowing spaces with much needed brithing margins. Well that is it.

Confusion - so it seems. I think good architecture and design would have a better chance if the clients and potential clients were better educated and more sophisticated. Merely providing walls for shelter is not architecture!

Soul in architecture
architecture seems to lack soul today, only because the very notion of "soul" does not exist in our current and outdated vision of the world. we think and design the world as objects, and we leave out all subjective dimensions. it is due to our education from the dawn of the scientific revolution... but things are changing, there is a new paradigm (no, not Jencks's) at play, that potentially brings back "soul", or at least non-objective notions, back into our way of designing. to learn more about it, visit quantumcity.com or join the discussion topic "Fencing Battleground" here on archnet...
