Adaptive reuse and the associated planning regulations
I am currently working on my masters thesis in Los Angeles. I have decided to compare the planning policies regarding adaptive reuse in the two countries: India and United States . As the base for comparison I have chosen the Neemrana Fort and a Chettinadu Mansion Visalam in Karaikudi. I would like to bring in the development of economy and a community as such with both these cases .
I would like some ideas as to how to tie them all cohesively because right now the thoughts are free flowing and I am looking for a container!

Divya, You may like to consider the book and videos of "How Buildings Learn" by Stewart Brand.

Divya, Why not try communicating with Stewart Brand? I believe he lives in Sausalito (across the bay from San Francisco).
