This is one field that always lags behind all other representative expressions, be it be art, literature, philosophy or music. I understand, that "lagging" points out to, how difficult it is to think architecture in the face of so many parallels, and the lack of enough engagement across all sections of the society. Thinking architecture should be the paradigm of the future where habitation will no longer be an apology but an object of truth and order.
Here it is Abdul. What do you Think?
Subhadeep, I'm not sure what u mean by thinking architecture.
Abdul Basit Mukri
what i ment....when "the will to build" and "Architecture to live in" as a priorty superceed all other intellectual distractions and when the order of the built structure and environment become real base upon which all other dynamic intervention and interpretation could be supported, encouraged and directed. Thinking Architecture is so big a movement that societies reinvent their past, simultaneously invent their future and take into its ambit all that the present can offer. This will to build becomes a celebration and adds to the will to live and procreate. This to me looks like the new constructive force, that is missing for sometime especially in the "third world" countries. This if harnessed could bring about a new spirit of cooperation and a brilliant path to glory.
