beehive villages construction method

Fred, There are beehive house villages just north of the Syrian Border in Turkey and there are similar beehive house villages in southern Italy.
You might also like to consider the beehive type multispace villages as found on islands NW of Scotland.
The actual construction method relies on making round houses using roughly oblong flat stone slabs overhanging inwards in ever-decreasing circles.
This "corbel" type technique is ancient and probably is one of the earliest forms of man-made contruction.
There is also the technique of "dry-stone" walling which is probably an even earlier form of construction.
