Basilique de Notre Dame d'Afrique
Algiers, Algeria
This Neo-Byzantine church sits on a hill above the sea to the north of Algiers.  It was designed by Jean-Eugène Fromageau, architect for the Diocese of Algeria during the colonial era. It was severely damaged by an earthquake in 2003.  A three year restoration project finished in 2010.
