Mostly threads address architecture design vs architectural studies (research degrees).
I'm debating between a partially funded program at Yale MED and an unfunded program at MIT SMARCHS (Architecture & Urbanism).
As an international student I've never visited either universities - just heard of them. I spoke to the faculty at Yale - and they sound wonderful ! Haven't had a chance to speak to faculty at MIT yet.
MIT is exciting because of their wonderful work in technology and spatial analysis. I'm not very techy (i don't do programming) but aim to work on projects like they do at MIT. I've been following MIT since a couple of years - so this is especially a difficult decision !
Any advice in the matter would be super !
Thanks in advance !

Yale (MED) vs MIT (SMARCHS)
Given the costs of US education, go for the partial funding at Yale, after which, apply to the graduation programme at MIT for which there are more opportunities to get external funding.
