I am doing my final project on design a luxurious 9 towers of aparment with basement parking.
The problem is the configuration for the first floor and ground floor is not the same, and we are confused in where internal columns should be put as the restrictions are that:
1) no internal column in the flat for the first floor - ninth floor though
2) internal column/walls are acceptable in the party walls
3) no vertical structural components within the unit for the ground floor.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Structural and Architectural Design help needed
Nadiah, I assume someone is playing a silly joke, because if there are "no vertical structural components within the unit for the first floor" then you cannot build anything above. And if this is a joke designed to make you "think outside the box" you can put vertical structural components outside the footprint of the ground floor unit.
