Events in the Life of Hassan Fathy

Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy, is best known for experiments with and promotion of the use of traditional building techniques in Modern architecture. He is known as a pioneer of sustainable architecture. The majority of his projects can be found across his homeland, but Fathy was an architect of international stature, having designed projects for Greece, India, Iraq, Niger, Saudia Arabia, Spain, and the Americas, among others. The Hassan Fathy Archive on Archnet contains documentation of more than 120 sites and 180 publications.
