Rukayyah Reichling

Rukayyah Reichling has a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages (Univeristé Libre de Bruxelles) and holds dual master’s degrees in social anthropology and Islamic studies (KU Leuven, Belgium). Since 2019, she has been a doctoral student at the University of Amsterdam and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow of the European research program “Mediating Islam in the Digital Age” Within the framework of that project, she investigates how new media technologies were employed in the late Dutch colonial period to portray Mecca.
