Mossessian Architecture

United Kingdom

Founded in 2005, Mossessian Architecture is a Londonbased design studio led by Michel Mossessian. The practice is known for architecturally innovative projects that respond thoughtfully to cultural context, user needs, and environmental conditions. Through its signature “Black Box Script” methodology, the studio begins each project by identifying the underlying social, cultural, and spatial conditions, allowing each design to evolve from specific contextual needs. This process ensures that the resulting architecture is not only functional and expressive but also deeply rooted in place and purpose.

The studio has completed major international projects, including Msheireb Al Barahat Square in Doha (2020) and Kings Cross S1 and S2 in London (2020). Other highlights include the Msheireb Downtown master plan (2022), the ExxonMobil Technology Centre in Shanghai (2011), and 5 Merchant Square in London (2010). Current projects span the UK, Saudi Arabia, Armenia, and Kuwait.
