Karen Kim, MArch, CAPS, is an architectural designer and researcher at the Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access (IDeA). Her research interests include safety and usability of environments and products, visual perception and aging, and design for wellbeing. At the IDeA Center, her responsibilities include research on stairway safety, home adaptations, and wayfinding assessment and design. She is a specialist in environmental modifications and aging-in-place (Certified-Aging-in-Place Specialist).
