Consisting of eight lectures, the series, Architecture and Urban Development of the Deccan Sultanates, begins with
an overview of the evolution of Indo-Islamic architecture and the
manner in which the newly introduced social, cultural, and political ideals and
religious beliefs and the existing Indian traditions interacted and shaped the
architectural style. In this lecture, the third of the series, you will learn about:
evolution (morphology) of the citadel and its main architectural features;
main architectural monuments and water infrastructure.
