Nizamuddin Urban Renewal Initiative - <p>On 12th October 2019, the Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University with the Education Programme of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, organized a seminar on 'Conservation and Development.' It was organised in the context of the presentation at CEPT of two exhibitions of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, on the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and the Aga Khan Historic Cities Programme respectively.&nbsp;The seminar explored the intersections between urban conservation and local development in places such as Nizammuddin, Ahmedabad, Amber, Shimla, Coorg, Muziris, Alleppey that were presented by eminent guest speakers, who also explored the theoretical underpinnings of these projects. The focus of the seminar was on what conservation practice would look like if it fully addressed all the challenges of local sustainable development.</p>
