This memorandum is in regard to a renovation project of the area surrounding the Sufi shrine and mosque dedicated to Syed Ahmad al-Badawi in Tanta, Egypt. The notes presented here are in addition to notes previously sent by Fathy in a memorandum dated on January 31st, 1973. The present memorandum outlines several thoughts about the presence of a business district located behind the mosque and how to accommodate it within the new plan and design.
