Amir Pašić was an international scholar and professor of architecture, and the former Head of the Architectural Department of the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) in Istanbul, Turkey.
Amir Pasic won six architectural awards, including the 1986 Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the successful restoration of the Old Town of Mostar. For 10 years he was coordinating activities concerning the rehabilitation of Old Town of Mostar after its destruction in the 1992-95 war. He was the author or co-author of 21 books and 47 articles, and also author of the Nomination Dossier for the UNESCO World Heritage property “Old Bridge Area of the Old Town of Mostar“(2005).
