Rem Koolhaas

Rem Koolhaas is a Dutch architect and academic. He heads the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), an internationally-focused architectural firm, and has been Professor in Practice of Architecture and Urban Design at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design since 1995.

Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 1944, Koolhaas became an architect after working in journalism and script writing. He graduated from the Architectural Association, London in 1972 and subsequently co-founded the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in 1975.
