Report outlining a proposed plan for the University of Karachi. In 1951, the Government of Pakistan had commissioned Michel Écochard, Gérard Thurnauer, and Pierre Riboulet to design the new university on a 1,200 acre plot of land. The architects prepared an initial report on the proposed plan for the campus and individual buildings in 1954. This report, authored by Thurnauer and Riboulet, details changes to the initial plan proposed in 1954, "due either to further development of the plan, or to construction costs, or to increased knowledge of the problem" (p. 1).

Table of contents includes: I. Amendments to the General Program; II. Actual Architectural Development (A. Modifications of the General Plans; B. New Estimate of the Cost of Buildings; C. Construction Phases; D. Construction Materials; E. Preliminary Study of the First Buildings); III. Problems of Site Equipment (A. Water; B. Roads; C. Gardens and Plantations); IV. Future of the Project; V. Consideration on Architectural Problems Connected with Technical Assistance Programs.
