Kan Zaman Tourist Village
Amman, Jordan

Renovation and adaptive re-use of an old estate with the walls of a 19th century agricultural settlement, with the aim of promoting local development through tourism and the revival of traditional craftsmanship. It comprises a restaurant, numerous shops, and a crafts centre. While the vaulted structures of the original buildings were preserved, new additions and extensions have also been constructed in local stone with rough plastering.
