The urban plan aims to revitalise and preserve the historic character of the old district by the planning of new streets and pedestrian areas, and by providing the landscaping of public urban spaces. Special attention was focussed even on fine details as catchbasin gratings and manhole covers which were custom designed to blend with the surrounding paving pattern of streets.
