Hamid Shuaib Residence
Kuwait City, Kuwait
The villa was designed for the family of a Kuwaiti architect with four children. The villa is planned around a courtyard in various levels allowing the southern part of the villa, which contains the children's bedrooms, to be one level up above the living area of the villa forming a bridge over the courtyard and providing a shaded area connecting the courtyard to the garden. This also allows the cool north and north-west breezes to be funelled through the courtyard.
