Beyti Restaurant
Istanbul, Türkiye

The Beyti restaurant was designed as a traditional Turkish restaurant with capacity of 500 seats. The overall design is an exercise in order and geometry. The interior is composed of compartments of various size and capacity. There are three floors: ground floor, first floor, and a partial second floor. Basement is completely occupied with service units. The juxtaposition of the naked concrete surfaces, brick walls, wood facing, and the glass adds a strong expression of movement to the composition. The concrete structural elements dominate the façades of the building. Between the horizontal concrete elements, brick walls and narrow vertical windows with lattice are placed.
