On Absheron Bay on the Baku waterfront, the Sahil restaurant building houses three separate restaurants serving different cuisines within a single structure. The design of the building highlights these different functions through their placement on different levels and through the use of materials-on the facade, the lower level is clad in stone, the upper in wood, and the middle level connects the two with aluminium window frames. Outside, the building has a strong connection to the waterfront, with its situation among the trees of the waterfront promenade and with the easy access from the promenade to the ground level restaurant and café.
