The project involved the rebuilding and extension of the international air terminal complex to cater for 400 passengers per hour. It comprises four buildings, including logistics and airplane parking, all (re)built to the standards of the International Civil Aviation Authority (ICAO). The departure area, with ticketing, flight registration and check-in, is in a reconstructed double-height block, while Arrivals and Departures are situated in a new built-on building, faced with a white synthetic stone (Sital). The main entrance is pillared and interiors are designed in national style with specific themes: the "Oasis in the Desert" for Arrivals and the "Mirage in the Desert" for Departures.
