Environmental responses hinge around a courtyard typology and layered facade systems aiding climate regulation through natural airflows and optimising natural lighting of interiors. The office block has been raised on stilts on one side, permitting air to be drawn from under the building, through the courtyard, and out via openable windows. These passive devices are supported by mechanical and electrical systems pared down to the essentials.  An abstracted reference to local cultural traditions of weaving and sculpting, expressed in the use of colour, use of local materials, such as sustainably forested timbers, and artworks.  The office design supports organizational flexibility and staff communication.
