TAC-SEV New Campus
Mersin, Türkiye
The new campus of the Tarsus American College is built across from their existing property and contains an elementary school, a dormitory and a multipurpose building. Separated from the original TAC campus by a road, the new campus lies next to a historic mansion which might be converted to a library in future. The design principle is based on the unity of the two campuses physically and perceptually as well as a link between the new campus and the historic structure next door with the creation of a courtyard in between. As Tarsus has a warm climate, areas exposed to strong sun are shaded with panels and there are solar panels on the southward roofs.
