The village is expected to house 900 families within the irrigated zone of Abadla. The village is organized into separate activity areas, linked by pedestrian access ways. The mosque is planned to be the focus of social life of the village and its minaret the reference point of the entity. The center of the village includes a school, a social center, a health center, and a post office. In the first phase, 480 houses were constructed and grouped in two dwelling zones around a central square. The houses are oriented around the courtyard. Construction is in a reinforced concrete structure with hollow concrete block infill, mud brick walls, and cement mortar rendering.
