600-year old village SW of Makhwah, on a mountain with marble, a spring believed to have its source in Yemen, and a stream that waters an oasis of date palms, bananas, lemons and other crops. The village on the mountain was populated, but when the government declared the site a heritage monument, remaining people were moved out and some of the buildings were restored.
