Located in Hamria, the area outside of the medina constructed during the colonial era and designed by Henri Prost.&nbsp; The old&nbsp;<a href="https://archnet.org/sites/18323">Hôtel de Ville</a>&nbsp;is at the east end of the square.&nbsp; Other buildings along the square include the regional&nbsp;<a href="https://archnet.org/sites/18324">appeals court</a>, and the main&nbsp;<a href="https://archnet.org/sites/18327">post office</a>&nbsp;in Meknes.&nbsp;<div> </div><div>This elongated park runs between the two sections of Avenue. A series of cascading pools runs down the middle, surrounded by gardens.&nbsp;</div>
