Al-Qilijiya Madrasa was originally a residential house occupied by prince Sayf al-Din Ali bin Qilij al-Nuri who transformed it into a madrasa with a turbeh for his tomb. The madrasa is located between Souk al-Buzuriya and al-Azem Palace. It is still in good condition with the Ayyubid architectural elements still in tact.
