This prayer space incorporates and upgrades an existing mosque on the site, expanding the capacity to 1,500 worshippers, mainly hospital staff and patient visitors. The new structure encloses the existing mosque within glass walls for efficient air conditioning. There are four entrances to the mosque (three for men and one for women) and the main floor has separate male and female areas, divided by a low partition wall. A mezzanine level was added to increase capacity. The building structure is reinforced concrete frames and masonry walls with a lop-sided pyramidal roof cantilevered over the original building.
