Terrapuri Heritage Village
Terengganu, Malaysia

The Terrapuri Heritage Village consists of 29 traditional Malay houses known as Rumah Bujang bought from the original owners by a collector who dismantled and transported them to the site to be restored and converted into a heritage boutique hotel. The distinctive structures are built entirely of cengal wood, constructed on raised platforms on stilts, with steep gabled roofs and timber panel walls. The restored villas, each with their individual, documented histories, have been equipped with modern comforts including air-conditioning and refrigeration, and the project includes a reading room, meeting room, reception area, restaurant and spa.
