Chihani Suspension Bridge
Chihani, Algeria
A suspension bridge designed by Ferdinand Arnodin, and constructed over the Oued Seybouse in the early 20th century, before the more well known Sidi M'Cid Bridge in Constantine. By the 1990s it had to be closed to traffic due to the weakening of the structure. Algerian transportation authorities (SAPTA) commissioned Italian engineers Marco and Marcello Petrangeli to rehabilitate the bridge.
