The Maison des Yvelines offers office space and meeting facilities to local partners and community from YCID (Yvelines International Cooperation and Development). The building comprises three independent blocks separated by open inner courtyards, which aid natural ventilation. The layout consists of a number of different spaces with distinct functions: administrative, reception and accommodation spaces. The house appears as a demonstration building of the Nubian Vault concept, a reinterpretation of an ancestral technique using raw earth brick and mortars, adapted to the Sahelian climate and social context.
