Kampung Admiralty
676 Woodlands Drive 71, Singapore

The prefabricated concrete project provides housing for the elderly in a landscaped, urban context that focuses on integrating the residents into an active community while providing medical care; it contains 104 apartments in two 11-storey towers, a medical centre and pharmacy, retail and dining facilities, an open public park and covered tropical plaza, an outdoor gym and children's playground, an urban farm, and day care for seniors and childcare for their family members. The residential community is the first example of coordination between government agencies - housing, health, parks, and transport - to create a village or kampung setting that encourages active lifestyles for the ageing residents within the wider community.
