Amman, Jordan

In an area that has seen a great deal of urban growth in recent years, this residential building seeks to move away from the repetitive and bland developments that have become common, to find a meaningful and sensitive approach to housing. The building stands apart and creates a strong visual impact with its use of Maani white stone and basalt black stone for its exterior cladding. It has five residential floors with ten three-bedroom apartments in total, each of 150 square metres. The solid-void contrast created by the balconies on the main facade adds to the building’s visual statement while also framing the views and providing privacy to the interior spaces.
