The main prayer hall accommodates 2,000 worshippers, and the courtyard and surrounding arcades accommodate an additional 600; a separate prayer hall accommodates 150 women. The concrete structure is clad in sandstone, and the qibla wall is clad with translucent onyx; the poured-in-place concrete dome measures 48 metres in diameter. Large, etched windows in the main prayer hall are double-glazed with, between them, laser-cut aluminium panels; particular attention was given to the concealed, energy-efficient air-conditioning system. On a 10,000-square metre site with parking, the complex also contains water pools and fountains, ablutions facilities, two courtyards, a townhouse for the imam, and an apartment for the muezzin; the free-standing minaret rises to a height of 60 metres.
