M1 Headquarters
Beirut, Lebanon

As the communal, garden space for a multinational real estate company headquarters, the project had to position itself within a congested and busy urban district in Beirut as a place where people could take some time out of their busy days to shift moods and reconnect with nature. The landscape components of the courtyard, namely water features, greenery, benches and gravel, are chosen with an eye to opening a dialogue between the visitors and the site. The water cascade sits at the main focal axis of the garden, with disc-like structures in the water that carry ornamental trees. The water feature is enclosed by two tall green walls, which also serve to hide the mechanical enclosure.
