This nine-storey residential building has 103 apartments, 24 commercial units, and underground parking. Located in a former industrial area with few residential buildings, it was important that the building should act as a magnet for the area. The architecture achieves this goal through the building’s distinctive form, made up of overlapping cubes that create a terraced structure with plantings in the outdoor spaces that also brings sunlight and air to the interiors, and through the creation of two green outdoor public spaces that are linked by pedestrian walkways. The first is adjacent to the main road near the development’s commercial spaces, and the second, more intimate "orchard" is behind the building and affords greater privacy.
