1959-62 Survey

Located approximately 300 m west from the southern tip of Mihrawlī village. Grid ref. F-13

All that currently remains of this graveyard is a wall mosque with five miḥrābs, and traces of the east gate. Period II.

2015-18 Survey

In 2015, this graveyard existed as an enclosure measuring approximately 27m (east-west) by 32m (north-south); nearly centered on the east side is a gate, and on the west side, a wall mosque. The ruins of a well (W35) can be seen to the northeast of the gate. In a small enclosed area of the northwestern part, a cenotaph has been placed on a decorated plinth. Compared to 1959-62, the arch-shaped kangura of the western wall has mostly fallen. In 1959-62, the north wall stood higher than the adjoining west wall, but the upper part has now crumbled. The topsoil and bushes found in 1959-62 along the west wall have been removed, making its foundations visible. There is no photo of the east gate from 1959-62. In 2015, the east gate was badly in ruins; only the western wall of the domed structure remained, and one family had made a temporary dwelling around the gate. The grounds spreading east from the wall mosque had been leveled, with only short weeds growing in parts. The northwest part of the north wall leads to the aforementioned cenotaph enclosure. The back of the west wall is badly damaged, with the area behind covered in shrubbery.

[現状] 2015年に現存を確認した。東西27m南北32mほどの囲いがあり、東辺ほぼ中央に門、西辺に壁モスクがあり、門の北東に井戸の遺構(W35)を確認できる。北西部に小規模囲いが続き、装飾付基壇上に墓石が置かれる。1959-62年と比較すると、西壁のアーチ頂部飾は、ほとんど崩壊し、1959-62年に北壁は隣接する西壁よりも高く立ち上がるが、現在その上部は崩れてしまった。西壁は1959-62年より表土とブッシュが取り除かれ基部まで見えるようになった。なお1959-62年の門の写真はない。2015年には、東門の崩壊はひどく、東門周辺に一家族が仮住まいをしていた。壁モスクの東側にひろがるグラウンドは、短い草が所々に自生するだけで、平地として整備される。北壁の北西部は上述の墓石の囲いへ通じる。西壁背後は、ブッシュとなり、痛みがはげしい。

[壁モスク]中央に高く大きくU字型に窪んだ主ミフラーブ、その両脇に2つ、計5つのミフラーブがあったと推定されるが、最南のミフラーブは存在しない。西壁北端は東に折れ曲がり、袖壁を形成し、一つのアーチが穿たれる。袖壁の上部は西壁よりも高く、北西部の小規模囲いが建設された時に改変があったのかもしれない。

[東門]西壁面だけが現存しスクインチ・アーチが一部残るので、ドームをいただく壁式ドーム建築であった。西側ファサードは、中央の開口部の両側に2層の小アーチを重ねる。
