Stara Cuprija
Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Stara Cuprija, or The Old Bridge, is a sixteenth-century stone bridge that spans the Neretva River in Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Composed of six arches, it was partially destroyed in World War II, but the piers remained intact. The Yugoslav government mounted iron beams on the masonry piers so the bridge could function again. In the early 20th century, it was restored to the original form.
