7 Mihrab Graveyard of Sheikh Farid ud-Din (Mission for Indian History and Archaeology)
New Delhi, India

1959-62 Survey

Located approximately 500 m northeast of Lādo Sarā’ī village. Grid ref. G-12

This graveyard is enclosed by a wall mosque with seven miḥrābs and by a surrounding wall with a gate to the southeast. Except for the center portion of the wall mosque, it has fallen into severe disrepair. ASI notes the presence of modern inscriptions on the north surrounding wall: the year 752 A.H. (1351-52) and the name Shaikh Farīd al-Dīn, which have both since been lost. There is a well outside the south surrounding wall. Period II.

2015-18 Survey

The location is within a golf course, which we did not enter. However, as there are no traces of it on Google Earth photos, it is thought that it has been destroyed.

(Paragraph 2nd from the 2015-18 Survey is translated using Google Translate)

[Wall Mosque] Photos from 1959-62 show only two remains of the west back and one remains of the east face, leaving many unknowns. The central mihrab is modestly raised, and a top ornament is attached to the wall. The treatment of both ends of the west wall is unclear. According to Monuments of Delhi, the mosque measures 19.2m north to south and 22.4m east to west, and among the many tombstones, an inscription of Shaikh Farid ud-Din Chak Parran dated 1351/2 can be seen.
