1959-62 Survey

Located approximately 200 m south from the southern tip of Mihrawlī village, to the east of the road leading south. Grid ref. F-13

This is a domed building with a square plan, external dimensions of approximately 6.5 by 6.5 m, and entrances to the east and west. As there are no traces of tombstones currently, it is not impossible that it is a gate, but here it will be categorized as a tomb. ASI dates the building to the Mughal period, but in consideration of its style, it will be categorized into Period II. Period II.

2015-18 Survey

This has become a residence, and its facades could not be seen due to the temporary dwellings surrounding it. There is a new entrance on the north side, and the openings on the east and west have been closed off.

(Paragraphs 2nd to 4th from the 2015-18 Survey are translated using DeepL.com]

[According to the Monuments of Delhi, it is a quadrangular walled dome structure, 7m square, with two openings on the east and west sides.

[Exterior] The octagonal drum is raised while the walled dome structure is low in height relative to its width. It had a beam-column structure within the west entrance arch and a high projecting frame surrounding the entrance on the west facade, with the west being the front. The eastern opening is only a small lintel-style entrance.

[Interior view] Squinch arches are used, but the corner arches are wider than the arches on the east, west, south and north sides. The squinch arch leads to an octagonal shape, and the corner cubic arch leads to a circular shape, on which the dome is placed. This is the only place where the squinch arch is made up of two petal-like curved surfaces.
