Zepa MosqueŽepa, Bosnia and Herzegovina
In the town of Zepa, there is a mosque which has been restored and rebuilt from what seems to be a previously Ottoman mosque that once stood on the same grounds. The style of Ottoman mosque making is still preserved, especially those present in smaller towns. There is a small museum inside the mosque dedicated to the exhibition of the pain endured during the Bosnian war in this area.
“To the preserving of friendship between the people of Bosnia and the Islamic Republic of Iran. In 2002, the Iranian humanitarian organization BIRDS, with the funds of the Iranian government, built a mosque in Zepa, as the last was completely destroyed during the war in 1995.”
