Abandoned Family Home in Bratunac
Bosnia and Herzegovina

This house, located in the municipality of Bratunac, approximately 11 km (7 miles) from Srebrenica, was largely destroyed in the Bosnian war and is now plastered in Islamophobic graffiti. It is one of many in the region for which no family member is left to reclaim the property after the war.

The ethnic cleansing of Bosnian Muslims was so thorough that entire families were eliminated.1
