Zawawi Mosque
Muscat, Oman

The original Zawawi Mosque was built in 1906 and destroyed in 2005. A new mosque by the same name was built in 1985 by Omar Al-Zawawi in commemoration of his father Abdel Moneim Al-Zawawi. It is identified by its white exterior and square minaret and was located near Bab al-Waljat in Old Muscat.
