al-Ruwas Mosque
Salalah, Oman

The Al-Ruwas Mosque was built by Rawas bin Badr bin Mohammed bin Fadhel al Kathiri around 1800 and renovated in 1980. It is associated of the al-Ruwas tribe of Dhofar and identified by its ornate minaret with green dome. Its interior is also decorated, with a mihrab inlaid with mosaics, lighting from lamps along the walls, a central chandelier, and eight wooden doors.
