Lahore Fort Complex: Diwan-i-Khas-o-Aam
Lahore, Pakistan
Within the Shahi Qila, this sang-e murmur (marble) pavilion was placed to provide transition from the highly public area of the Diwan-i-Aam to the private apartments of the imperial harem.  The pavilion consists of a core of vaulted chambers and is bordered by an arcaded veranda circumambulating its three sides.
