Al-Maydani mosque was built by Hussein son of Mohammed al-Halabi known as Ibn al-Midani. It is located in al-Almaji quarter. The current octagonal Mamluk minaret was assembled by Ibn Qanbar in the 16th century. The mosque contains the tomb of Sheikh Abdullah.
