The mosque and the school, sponsored by a private patron, accomodate 2400 devotees and 250 students. A paved entry plaza leads to the mosque whose first floor is raised several feet above the plaza. The entry sequence proceeds from a surrounding colonnade to the entry hall, and then to a smaller, intermediate hall leading to the mosque proper. The intermediate hall provides access to a meeting room and a small prayer hall. The ground floor below plaza level contains the library, six classrooms, and four offices.
